Here is the slide deck from the presentation:
IT Virtualization Boot Camp - Jan 21.pptx
Following is a wrapup of the event by Cal McLennan who was an attendee:
A good day yesterday had by all that attended. Damir had a good tight presentation that (as Mitch clearly told us all!) you really needed to pay attention to. Between presentation content, very quick and direct demonstrations of what and where to make the changes for the next logical steps in your hands on tasks, with the one page summary on screen of the task components - it was a real challenge if anyone in your team of 4 had not been watching or taking down some kind of notes as Damir carried along.
The hardware setup for the most part worked without issue. It is possible that if anyone had problems it was more their likelihood of missing a step (Fred's systems being an exception I believe).
Sean and Mitch as Proctors kept us honest and on task for the next set of events - thanks guys!
Terrific event, Monday should also be good. Damir has asked that we find a location downtown Toronto to hold another pair of weekday/weekend (Friday/Saturday preferred) events in late February or early March. We will again have opportunity to get $25 per head (minus some transaction fees) from attendees to support ITPro Toronto funding. MS will fund the event cost itself (location/food).
Keep that on your respective radar for the future!

- Create a Windows Failover Cluster
- Make Hyper-V virtual machines highly available and using Live Migration to move running workloads between hosts with no loss in client connectivity
- Integrate non-Microsoft-based virtual machines into your cluster
- See how Windows Failover Clustering can help to make dealing with hardware failure easier
